Kashima Chemical Complex, with as spacious area as 33km2, has a Y-letter-shape harbor, the largest excavated type of the world, in its center. The harbor divides the chemical complex into three districts, Takamatsu, Eastern, and Western divisions. Along with adjacent Hasaki district, those four industrial parks have about 50 companies including steal manufacturer, oil refiner and petroleum based chemicals companies.
