Taking on the challenge of creating new values by all employees acting as one team

Kashima Chemical has been delivering high value-added products through its basic chemicals business since its establishment in 1968. These include the production of epichlorohydrin and allylchloride, the highest output in Japan, and our functional chemicals business, such as the production of allylamine.

As a member of the AGC global corporate group, Kashima Chemical aims to improve its corporate value by promoting technical exchanges and synergy with other businesses beyond corporate and national boundaries. Based on this, focusing particularly on functional chemical products that provide value to customers in niche markets, after adopting cutting-edge manufacturing and production technologies, it is our aim to develop new and differentiated products and expand sales channels that lead to the adoption of new and sophisticated products that spur further developments.

Kashima Chemical is a member of the AGC group, and it places ‘thorough compliance’ and ‘ensuring safe and stable operations’ as the main premises of its corporate activities. Motivated by these philosophies, we will contribute to society as an expert in C3 chemicals in the field of life sciences, through the development of manufacturing technologies and new products.

Since the inauguration of the Kashima Rinkai Industrial Area, Japan has experienced various emergencies, such as the first and second oil crises, the financial meltdown of 2008, triggered by the collapse of Lehman Brothers, and the Great East Japan earthquake. Our company, rooted in the Kashima region, has a record of overcoming such crises, and is proud to have reliably supplied our products for more than half a century. We are determined to continue our business for another century or more to contribute to society on a global scale. We will dedicate ourselves to taking on challenges, acting together as one team to spur the sustainable growth of our company to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
